I am glad to inform all of you that Your Money Online has been moved to a new server with PHP5 successfully today. I thought I need about 3 days to finish this migration, but the Progress took much less time think I expected. In fact, with the quick response from IXWebHosting support, it just took me several hours to complete all the progress!

After I finished backing up all the files and databases, I submitted a ticket to IXWebHosting support team at 05:52 on Sunday, December 7th, and got their quick response at 06:18 the same day, informing me that they have created a new account which is blank, no domains, no mailboxes, no databases, but gives me access to the new features I requested.

It was just 26 minutes since I submitted the ticket. Considering it was early morning in the weekend, I highly appreciated the quick and great support from IX Web Hosting . They delivered what they promised and really provide a high-quality 24x7 support.

Then I uploaded the files to the new server, added the domain your-money-online.com in the new control panel, created a new MySQL database, import it with phpMyAdmin, and edited the configuration file. After all the steps were completed, I logined to GoDaddy (your-money-online.com was registered under Godaddy, which is one of the largest domain registrar) and changed The nameservers to the new ones.

Normally, it may take 24 to 72 hours for the DNS changes to take effect. But There was nothing for me to worry about, because for 15 the following 15 days both the old and new servers would be alive at the same time and YMO would be moved to the new server seamlessly.
