Although it is said that Content Is King, The web design is as important as the content. Believe it or not, a new visitor to your blog may decide to stay or leave within few seconds according to the layout of you blog. A well-designed, professional design will make your visitors glad to stay and read on your content hence increase your blog page views.

When Your Money Online was set up there months ago, I just used the default template and did not modify it too much. I wanted to add as much fresh content as possible at that moment. I knew the layout was ugly but had no time to modify it or create a new one. As more and more readers came to YMO these days, I realized I need to tidy up my room and welcome my honorable guests.

The new template took me about 3 days during my New Year Holidays. I created it from the very beginning, including designing, coding, and testing. I think it is a quick creation. Now it works well under both Windows IE6 and Linux Firefox 2.0. But I have not made any further test for other platforms and web browsers.
