It's time to Start Your Making-Money-Online Project
Sun, 03/01/2009 - 14:18 — David Wei
Yesterday we had a staff meeting and we were noticed by our boss that our sales volume fell 6% due to the economic turndown, and the sales even fell over 30% in the last quarter. And the bad situation will continue because we still don't have enough sales orders for the next months. Although we don't have a plan to lay off employees currently, every colleague feel afraid to be the laid off. Of course nobody dreams of asking for higher a salary.
I don't think we are the most unfortunate companies and employees because a lot of people have lost their jobs. In this situation, everyone realized the insecurity. It's time to find some another way to make extra money, and even to build your own business.

Mon, 02/23/2009 - 23:59 — David Wei
I have heard a lot about making money online for several years and also have started to make some extra money from Internet since last year. But to be honest, I still don't make a lot of money online so far. Right now I just made about $200 from my freelancing jobs and about $10 from this site every month.
Why I made so little money from Internet even for so long a time I have known the fact that one can make money online? Below is the the lessons I learned from my own experience.
Lesson one: Actions Must Be Taken
The problem with most people is, even though they may have the knowledge to do some particular thing, they lack putting the necessary action behind that knowledge, including myself.
When Should You Start to Monetize Your Blog
Fri, 02/20/2009 - 01:16 — David Wei
One question for those bloggers who want to make money blogging, is that when should they start to monetize their blogs. But it seems that there is no standard answer yet.
Generally, the successful bloggers suggest not to monetize you blog until your blog become larger and have a lot of readers. And a visitor of Your Money Online suggest that I should get rid of some ads from it. One reason is that at the early stage, you need to spend more time on writing good content. While another reason may be that your readers don't want to stay at a blog with too much advertisement and too little useful information.

Tue, 02/17/2009 - 11:19 — David Wei
Today building an Ecommerce website is much easier and it will cost you much less money than before. So you don't need to stay with EBay and other platforms just because you don't have enough money to build your own Ecommerce website.
There are mainly 2 ways for you to build your own Ecommerce website: get a professional website designer or Do It Yourself.
The quickest and easiest way to build a website is to find a professional website designer to perform the tasks. It is highly recommended if you don't know much things about HTML, PHP/ASP and database programming.

YMO Recovered From the Serious Downtime
Sun, 02/15/2009 - 11:29 — David Wei
I had noticed there was downtime for Your Money Online now and then in the past months, but it was temporary and back online soon. However this time it the most serious one lasting for about one day. Fortunately the problem is fixed and YMO is available again.
It was February 13th that I received a notice from ServiceUptime reporting that Your Money Online went down. I then tried to open YMO at once and the site was proved downtime again:”Database Error: Unable to connect to the database: Could not connect to MySQL”. And after a few minutes, I tried another time and failed to open my site again.
