Although affiliate marketing is easy to start, it is hard to reach a certain level of achievement. Just like any business model, Only a very limited affiliate marketers will achieve their brilliant success in affiliate marketing while others will make ordinary amount of money and much more affiliate marketers even make no money at all. It is said that 80% of affiliate marketers never make their first single sale.
We can not change the fact because it itself is a natural rule, but by knowing why most affiliate marketers fail, we can avoid such mistakes made by them and stand out as successful affiliate marketers. Here are the reasons why most affiliate marketers fail:
1. They don't treat affiliate marketing seriously
AS affiliate marketing does not require professional skills and a lot of investment to start, most people don't treat affiliate marketing as a serious business. They just purchase an cheap domain name and hosting plan, make a simple website with affiliate links, and check their affiliate status now and then, with the hope that they are luck to make a sale and get the commission credited. Of course they will get nothing from this shallow test, so they give up and tell everybody that affiliate marketing doesn't work at all.
2. They don't work hard to promote the products
Most people get into affiliate marketing industry with the idea that it is easy to make money from affiliate marketing. It is not exactly the case, however. To be successful in affiliate marketing, you need to work hard promoting the products to your potential customers. Successful affiliate marketers likes Nabs, usually work for 14-16 hours every day to promote the products by writing sales copies, updating websites, and sending emails to their opt-in list subscribers.
3. They lack marketing skills
Nowadays, just signing up with affiliate programs and putting the banner links to your website may not make you any money. Because most Internet user now have a negative attitude toward banner ads and some of them never click a banner. Therefore, successful affiliate markers don't rely on banner ads. They have more effective marketing skills to promote the products so that they are more trustworthy and get higher Click-through Rates and Conversion Rates.
4. They don't wait until miracle happens
It takes time to do anything. New affiliate marketer always need time to research the products, need time to learn how to market them and need time to test which method works. Even they have implemented the right methods, it needs time to find the results. But some affiliate marketers don't realize it. They try to promote different products in different ways for a very short time, without waiting until the miracle happens. It is regrettable that they lose their chance to find a profitable way to make money.
5. They don't set up good marketing channels with large audience
Why super affiliate marketers make thousands of US dollars from a single blog post or newsletter? New affiliate marketers only see this point and think they can make same amount of money from such little work, too. But they don't realize that super affiliates make so many money because they have a good marketing channel with large audience. A popular website/blog and a big email list is the most important wealth of successful Internet marketers. Until new affiliate marketers set up their own marketing channels, they will not make as much money as successful marketers.
Conclusion: You Get Out What You Put In. It's your own business and you need to work harder if you want to make more money from affiliate marketing. The more you work, the more skills you will learn, the more customer you will get from your marketing channels, hence the more successful you will be.
